About BDS

The Black Dress Society is a national ladies social society founded on October 13, 2013 by mother & daughter Rosanne Harris and Christiana Harris-Minniefield. They share a strong appetitive for socialization and an ardent commitment for community service.

The society's mission is to bring back class and sophisticated to all women while building lifetime friendships.

The black dress is our staple attire. We host or select venues that offer exclusive posh themed events, empowerment, fashion and style classes/shows, chocolate and wine tastings, art, music, theatre outings, and more.

Ultimately, it is the goal of the Black Dress Society to serve as luminaries and to assist all women in their quest to be successful.
